My art history …
Most of my art is inspired from nature, with landscapes being my usual subject. I have enjoyed creating art ever since I could hold a paintbrush, but never could find the time to take it seriously. Now, in my retirement, I have been inspired to take up my brush again, then got bitten by the needle felting bug. Most of my recent work has been needle felted landscapes, but there are a few subjects I prefer to do as paintings.
I have been self taught in both painting and needle felting, with a few painting classes taken to help me with “Impressionistic” skills. My one-time dream was to try painting pictures that looked almost like a photo, but have come to the realization that this isn’t my strength. However, I do still try on occasion.
